Oak Creek Canyon is a beautiful and popular vacation destination located in the red rock country of Sedona, Arizona. The canyon is known for its stunning scenery, with towering red rock cliffs, lush greenery, and the winding Oak Creek running through it.  Located between Sedona and Flagstaff, it is considered one of the top scenic drives in Arizona with the road traversing through the canyon with beautiful crimson rock formations alongside the creek.

There are several restaurants located in Oak Creek Canyon, ranging from casual cafes to fine dining establishments. Many of the restaurants in the canyon feature outdoor seating with views of the surrounding red rock cliffs and the creek.  Indian Gardens cafe is delightful and everything I've tried has not disappointed.  Sitting outside in the back after hiking West Fork Trail is a moment of joy.

The population of Oak Creek Canyon is relatively small, with a mix of permanent residents and vacationers. The lifestyle in the canyon is generally laid-back and outdoor-oriented, with many people enjoying the natural beauty of the area.  Many people from Phoenix like to escape here on the weekends during the summer because of popular Slide Rock, Grasshopper point and West Fork.
